Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra

Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra means a classic lineup. It is a phenomenon of Russian instrumental culture and its climax. Its lineup remains unchanged since it was established by Vasiliy Andreyev in the 1880s, and remains a unique specialty, a trademark of traditional Russian folk music.

Performance Accompanied By Lecture

This is a joint project with multi-instrumentalist Roman Lomov. It’s a performance along with a lecture and a workshop on Russian ethnic instruments. The audience takes a fascinating two-hour trip to the Ancient Russia, which is accompanied by folk songs and Slavic music instruments. Spectators get to participate and even learn how to sing and play, as well as try on traditional Russian bast shoes, kokoshnik (headdress) and adornments!

Bach for children

The I.S.Bach for children project is a concert along with a lecture on music written by Johann Sebastian Bach for children. It will be enjoyed by young audiences, such as students of music schools and children’s philharmonics, as well as teachers and other adults.

The Baroque Era

The Baroque project. Instrumental and vocal music of the Baroque Era with Denis Fedorov (bayan, organ, cembalo) and Yuliya Fedorova-Zimina (mandolin). Vivaldi concerts, transcriptions of Rossini and Mozart opera arias, Hungarian Dances by Brahms, folk melodies, Russian songs, and a Songs of Naples concert.

Retro Hits

This is a joint project with a retro hits ensemble. It will dispel the gloom and lift your spirits with witty conferring and your favorite music hits of the first half of the 20th century. Violin and clarinet, accordion, grand piano and guitar will win the hearts of the audience and make them smile.

Charm Of The Golden Age

The “Charm Of The Golden Age” project will remind you of ladies with curls wearing skirts and bonnets. It will take you back to the era of romances by M.Glinka, A.Alyabiev, A.Varlamov, P.Bulakhov based on poems by A.Pushkin, M.Lermontov, A.Tolstoy, B.Timofeev, A.Fet and many others. Accompanied by grand piano and guitar with Denis Fedorov and Yuliya Fedorova-Zimina.

Russian Party

It’s a club dance music project. You won’t be able stay away from the dance floor with quadrille and “Kalinka” playing. You’ll see the show with simple moves from the quadrille and such traditional Russian games as “Rucheyok” (Thread The Needle) and “Kolechko” (Ringlet). Explosive rhythms along with well-known Russian songs “Kalinka”, “Moscow Nights” and many others in ultra-modern dance adaptation won’t leave you indifferent.

Spiritual Poems Accompanied By Organ

It’s a spiritual music project made with Denis Fedorov who is a titular organist in various churches of Lausanne (Switzerland). He’s been the organist at the Chailly church (Lausanne, Switzerland) and the replacement organist at the Lausanne Cathedral. Also in the program are the roots of the Russian opera. You will hear the original folk songs that were used by Russian composers in their creations.

The Classics

The performance with the Scherzo duet who are always full of creative inspiration will make a long lasting impression, thanks not only to the repertoire (which includes time proved classics), but also because of their original style of execution, high professionalism and truly unusual instruments set-up.
